“POR Maesa is one of the pillars of sports in the Minahasa community, which has produced talented and outstanding athletes at both national and international levels,” emphasized the three-star general.

Table tennis was chosen as one of the sports to celebrate this centenary.

This sport has become an inseparable part of people’s lives, reaching various groups without knowing age limits.

It is hoped that this National Table Tennis Championship will be an opportunity to find superior seeds in the sport of table tennis and strengthen the ties of brotherhood between us all.

The public’s enthusiasm for this championship is very large, as evidenced by the number of participants reaching 177 people, consisting of 60 general men’s singles participants, 30 general women’s singles participants, and 87 participants in the Kawanuan singles division. This shows how important the role of sport is in uniting society.

More than just a match, this championship is also an opportunity to prioritize sportsmanship in competition. Message from POR Manager Maesa, “This activity is not just about winning or losing but how we can always uphold sportsmanship during the match.”
