TheIKNPost.com โ Usually on your KTP there is a 16 digit Population Identification Number (NIK) in the e-KTP.
This is what you need to know, if you are buying a train ticket, then you are asked to state the 16 digit Population Identification Number (NIK) on the e-KTP.
It turns out, the 16 digit number is not just any number.
There is a secret code that makes it different from other people’s e-KTPs. Now, please find your KTP and take a look. Try matching.
For example, from the image above, 02-31-01-44-03-91-0312, the way to find out the meaning is as follows:
31: Refers to provincial code. According to Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 39 of 2015, currently there are 34 provinces registered in the Republic of Indonesia.
02: City/regency code, you can see your city code on this page http://www.kemendagri.go.id/pages/data-region
01: Sub-district code, each sub-district has a different code. That’s why when you make an e-KTP it is always recommended to come directly to the respective sub-district office.
44: Date of birth. Well, here there is a difference between male and female code. The code for males is birth date 01-31. while for women it is different again, the date of birth is added by 40, so it is 41-71. So if you are a woman born on the 12th then the code is 40 + 12 which is 52.
03: Refers to another month, 01 for January onwards to 12 for December.
91: Year of birth, write the last two numbers. Like if you were born in 1991 then just write 91.
0312: Computerized number, this is a random number that has been set by the computer so that it is not the same as another one. However, usually for the head of the family it will be written xx01, for the first child xx02, and so on.
So, if you already know the meaning behind the Population Identification Number code, be careful about keeping your KTP.
From now on, you should be able to memorize the 16 digits of the number.
Because, this number could be your identification number when making various payments or orders.
