The most significant benefit of Bard is that it pulls real-time information from the internet for its responses. ChatGPT, on the other hand, was trained on a limited dataset that has not been updated since 2021. Therefore, Bard provides more up-to-date answers to topical questions.
Another advantage of Bard is that you can see different “concepts” or variations of responses.
ChatGPT provides a single (and often shorter) response to a query. Both chatbots rely on the same sources, including Wikipedia, Common Crawl, and prominent articles from the web.
Bard is more likely to cite sources in his answers, whereas ChatGPT usually states something as fact without providing a source.
If you want to know how to do something, Google Bard provides more precise instructions. Bard is also better at summarizing complicated concepts, so if you have a question about something you don’t understand, Bard will generally give you a more helpful answer.
If you want to make small talk, you’ll get more from Bard than ChatGPT. Bard’s responses seem more human, whereas ChatGPT is all business.

Both chatbots have coding capabilities, but ChatGPT is generally better at creative tasks. Bard is better at summarizing transcripts of meetings, lectures, and speeches.
There is also a ChatGPT plug-in that adds functionality. For example, the ChatGPt plugin for Microsoft Teams can create schedules, draft agendas, send reminder emails, and answer project-related questions automatically. Because Bard integrates with your Google Account, you can use Bard to compose emails and even use Bard in Google Docs.
