TheIKNPost.com – WorldSkills Asia Competition, a prestigious event in technical and vocational skills, has successfully captured the world’s attention after its inaugural event in 2018, Jakarta, (2/12/23).
The 2nd edition of the competition was recently held in Abu Dhabi on 27-29 November 2023 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) under the chairmanship of HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Chairman of the Executive Council Abu Dhabi.
With the participation of more than 30 member countries and guests of WorldSkills Asia, participants and expert practitioners compete in 27 skills covering a wide range of fields.
This fierce competition marks an important moment in measuring technical capabilities and vocational skills at a global level.
After the event ended, the Directorate for Competency Standardization and Training Program Development, which is under the auspices of the Directorate General for Vocational Training and Productivity Development at the Ministry of Manpower, held a special welcoming event for the Republic of Indonesia Delegation who had succeeded in showing extraordinary performance in the competition.
Syamsi Hari, Chairman of BNSP, and Adi Mahfudz Wuhadji, Commissioner of BNSP, were also present at the welcoming event to express appreciation to the Indonesian delegation who had fought tenaciously on the international stage.
They managed to bring home a proud achievement, becoming runners-up in this competition with 3 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.
Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor, who proudly sent off the Indonesian delegation, also gave appreciation for this brilliant achievement.
The achievements of the Indonesian team are not just achievements in competition, but also a matter of pride for the Indonesian nation.
