As a member of the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) of West Java Province from the Gerindra Party, H. Syahrir has shown extraordinary dedication in bringing positive change to the people of Bekasi Regency during the 2019-2024 period.
As a people’s representative who was re-elected to the West Java DPRD for the fourth time from the West Java IX Electoral District, H. Syahrir really understands that good collaboration with the community is very important.
With the largest number of votes for participants in the Legislative Election in Bekasi Regency, he succeeded in winning the appreciation of his constituents every time he ran for office.
In the 2019-2024 period, H. Syahrir focuses on various programs to build the community’s economy, one of which is efforts to boost Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by donating Angkringan Haji Syahrir in every sub-district, which will be distributed to every village in Bekasi Regency.
In the infrastructure sector, H. Syahrir actively oversees development in his region, including monitoring the West Java Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) as well as the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) for priority development such as schools, mosques, uninhabitable houses and bridges. .
In the education sector, he focuses his efforts on educating the nation’s children. As Chair of the Advisory Board of the National Literacy Movement (GLN) “Gareulis” West Java Province, H. Syahrir continues to encourage literacy to rural areas and achieve national achievements.
In the agricultural sector, H. Syahrir has succeeded in producing independent and successful millennial farmers, as well as creating job opportunities.
Facing health challenges, he contributed thoughts and assistance to the community, including basic necessities and personal protective equipment for health workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
H. Syahrir is also actively involved in sports development. As Chair of the West Java Province Indonesian Hockey Federation (FHI), he made history by presenting gold and bronze medals at the XXXII Cambodia SEA Games in 2023.
He also succeeded in bringing the Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles Teqball athletes to second place at the 2020 National Championship.
Apart from that, H. Syahrir is ready to represent Indonesia at the Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America 2024 in Boston, USA.
As Member of Commission I DPRD West Java, he will help promote seafood processing products from West Java, considering its contribution as a builder of MSMEs in his region.
With his impressive achievements and continuous dedication, H. Syahrir has become an influential figure in advancing Bekasi Regency and West Java society in general.
