MATRANEWS.ID – The Gogo Bangun Negeri (GBN) organization held a Public Perception Research Results Presentation on Vice Presidential Candidates with the theme: “Yusril Ihza Mahendra’s Opportunities to Become Prabowo Subianto’s Vice Presidential Candidate”.
This public discussion event will take place on Saturday, October 14 2023, at 13.00-15.00 WIB at Kopi Bangi, South Jakarta.
This discussion presented speakers such as Dr. Emrus Sihombing (Founder of GoGo Bangun Negeri/Indonesian Communicologist), Prof. Effendi Gazali (Political Communication Expert), Dr. Anggawira, MM., MH. (Secretary General of the Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association), and Dr. Fahri Bachmid, SH., MH (Constitutional Law Expert).
Currently, only the pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) are officially running as candidates for state leadership in the 2024 elections.
However, the specific candidate pair for Vice President (Cawapres) for Prabowo Subianto and Ganjar Pranowo has not been announced, even though there are many figures who have the potential to accompany both of them.
In the GoGo Bangun Negeri public discussion with the theme “Yusril Ihza Mahendra’s Opportunity to Become Prabowo’s Vice Presidential Candidate”, it was revealed that Yusril Ihza Mahendra has the capability, professionalism, leadership, managerial, government management experience and other qualities to lead Indonesia.
According to Emrus Sihombing, founder of GoGo Bangun Negeri & Indonesian Communicologist, there are seven main reasons for proposing Yusril Ihza Mahendra as Prabowo’s vice presidential candidate in the 2024 elections.
Yusril Ihza Mahendra has strong electoral appeal, especially outside Java. This electoral appeal is an important factor for Prabowo in winning the 2024 Presidential Election.
Apart from that, Yusril Ihza Mahendra has a close network with religious figures and the majority religious community in Indonesia.
This will also be important electoral capital in the 2024 Presidential Election.
Yusril Ihza Mahendra is known nationally because of his closeness to the wider community and his contribution as a law professor and leading lawyer who solved various legal cases that received positive support from various groups.
Another reason is because Yusril Ihza Mahendra can represent legal sovereignty in Indonesia.
Currently, legal handling in Indonesia is still far from the expectations of the majority of the people.
Apart from that, Yusril Ihza Mahendra has a humble and non-controversial attitude, even positioning himself as an alternative vice presidential candidate if there is a deadlock in Prabowo’s coalition.
Public communications expert, Effendi Gazalialso assessed that Yusril Ihza Mahendra has experience in government and can represent the voice of people outside Java.
This is important because Prabowo is often identified with the island of Java, and Yusril is considered to be able to overcome the stigma of Java’s centralization and represent Muslims.
Meanwhile, Constitutional Law Expert, Fahri Bachmid, emphasized that Yusril Ihza Mahendra could represent the national voice and represent the diversity of Indonesia. This is in accordance with the requirements of the law that presidential and vice presidential candidates must receive more than 50 percent of the total votes, with at least 20 percent of the votes in each province spread across more than half of the provinces in Indonesia.
According to the Secretary General of the Central Management Body Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association, AnggawiraPrabowo needs a companion who is able to accommodate the nation’s needs.
Yusril Ihza Mahendra is considered a strong leader who can solve various state problems, and his solid combination with Prabowo is expected to be able to meet the needs of this nation.
Until now, Prabowo Subianto and the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) are supported by the Gerindra Party, Golkar Party, PAN, Democratic Party, Crescent Star Party, Gelora Party and Garuda Party.
This coalition is currently listening to public input regarding the vice presidential candidate who will accompany Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 Presidential Election.
Some of the names included in the stock exchange are Yusril Ihza Mahendra, Erick Thohir, Sandiaga Uno, Gibran Rakabuming, Airlangga Hartarto, and Yenny Wahid.
