TheIKNPost.com — President Joko Widodo Appoints TNI Vice Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono as Chief of Staff of the Air Force (KSAU)
Today, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, officially inaugurated Vice Marshal TNI Mohamad Tonny Harjono as Chief of Staff of the Air Force (KSAU) in a ceremony at the State Palace, Jakarta.
This inauguration was announced based on Presidential Decree Number 20/TNI of 2024 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of the Air Force Chief of Staff.
In an event attended by high-ranking government and military officials, the President’s Military Secretary, Major General TNI Rudy Saladin, read out the contents of the Presidential Decree which regulates this inauguration.
According to this decision, the inauguration of TNI Vice Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono takes effect from the moment the Presidential Decree is read.
President Jokowi directly conferred the badge of office on TNI Vice Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono, followed by taking the oath/promise of office.
With this, TNI Vice Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono officially holds a strategic position as Chief of Staff of the Air Force.
In his remarks, President Jokowi expressed his congratulations and hopes to TNI Vice Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono for this inauguration.
TNI Vice Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono also received a promotion one level higher to Marshal TNI as part of this inauguration.
“Congratulations on your duties, TNI Vice Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono as Chief of Staff of the Air Force (KSAU). “Hopefully we can realize national defense in the air to protect security, independence, sovereignty, integrity and interests of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI),” said President Jokowi.
