The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has again reminded the public of the widespread misuse of the name of the institution and the identity of its leadership by irresponsible parties.
This abuse was carried out by making fake letters, fake identity cards, and using uniforms and badges bearing the KPK logo.
These actions are often directed at committing crimes such as fraud, extortion, and forgery.
In an official letter published, the Corruption Eradication Committee stated several things related to its operational activities that were important for the public to know:
-KPK employees are always equipped with assignment letters and official identity cards issued by the KPK when carrying out each assignment.
-KPK employees are strictly prohibited from promising, accepting or asking for compensation in any form related to their duties.
-Offering to “take care of” a case handled by the Corruption Eradication Commission is incorrect and should be avoided.
-The KPK has never appointed any organization or institution as an “extension” or official representative of the KPK in handling cases.
-KPK has never published or collaborated with media that uses the name KPK or a name similar to KPK.
-There are no KPK branch offices or special representative offices in the regions.
-The official site managed and used by the KPK is the internet site located at www.kpk.go.id, www.jaqa.idAnd www.stranaspk.id.

The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) urges that this information be disseminated to ranks in various agencies as a preventive measure against the increasingly widespread misuse of the Corruption Eradication Commission’s name and identity.
