TheIKNPost.com โ for individual taxpayers, the deadline for submitting Annual Tax Returns is March 31, while for corporate taxpayers it is April 30.
Extension of Time for Submitting Annual Tax Returns Can Now Be Done Online
The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance provides convenience to taxpayers by introducing an online extension of the time for submitting Annual Tax Returns (SPT).
Through this policy, taxpayers can apply for an extension of the time for submitting their Annual Tax Return without having to come directly to the tax office.
Previously, the process of extending the time for the annual notification letter required a direct visit to the tax office. However, with the new system called the Application for Extension of Time for Submitting Annual Tax Returns or e-PSPT, taxpayers can now process it via the official site jasa.go.id.
To use e-PSPT, taxpayers need to access the jasa.go.id site, go to the Profile menu, then click Feature Activation. There, taxpayers can select the e-PSPT option and change service features to gain additional access.
Once the activation steps are complete, taxpayers can access the time extension application easily.
Just by visiting the official DJP Ministry of Finance website and selecting the Services menu, taxpayers can access the e-PSPT application. Next, complete the documents required to apply for an extension of time.
It is important to remember that the Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance will carry out data validation to ensure taxpayers’ eligibility to obtain an extension of the time for submitting Annual Tax Returns.
Therefore, ensure that all documents submitted are complete and comply with the specified requirements.
The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance also reminded taxpayers about the deadline for submitting Income Tax (PPh) reports. For individual taxpayers, the deadline for submitting Annual Tax Returns is March 31, while for corporate taxpayers it is April 30.
In an effort to remind taxpayers, the DJP has sent an email blast to 25 million taxpayers. The email covers 23.5 million individual taxpayers and 1.5 million corporate taxpayers.
This is done as a preventive measure considering the consequences of fines and criminal sanctions that await taxpayers who do not report taxes via Annual SPT every tax period.
With the ease of extending the time for submitting Annual Tax Returns online and the outreach efforts carried out by the DJP, it is hoped that taxpayer participation in fulfilling tax obligations will increase.
All parties are expected to work together to create better tax compliance for mutual progress.
