The 2024 election has presented various interesting stories, including the unique poses of the candidates on the ballot paper.
One thing that stole attention was the DPD RI ballot papers from the electoral district (dapil) of West Java, which displayed photos of the faces of famous comedians such as Alfiansyah Komeng and A Ogi SOS.
These two comedians did not choose the poses usually used by other candidates. While most of the candidates choose the classic pose with a smile,
Komeng and A Ogi chose more creative poses. A Ogi SOS was seen wearing a white bowler hat and t-shirt with an open jacket, while Alfiansyah Komeng chose a tilted head pose with a shocked expression on his face.
The reaction of West Java residents to this unique pose was quite positive.
Many people find this pose entertaining and refreshing. Ganda, a resident of Bandung City, said that this unique pose made Komeng and A Ogi different from other candidates who looked stiff on the ballot paper.
A similar response also came from Dony, who felt interested in voting after seeing Komeng’s pose.
Alfiansyah Komeng, a comedy icon in Indonesia, is famous for his satirical speaking style which always invites laughter.
He registered himself as a DPD RI candidate for the West Java electoral district with the hope of realizing his satirical aspirations through the world of politics.
Meanwhile, A Ogi SOS, who was previously part of the SOS group with Sule and AA Oni, also chose the political path.
Although Sule focuses more on the world of arts and entertainment, A Ogi and AA Oni Suwarman show their interest in the world of politics. The DPD RI West Java electoral district is one of the stages for them to realize their political aspirations.
